Park Information

Carroll County Parks and Recreation is located in Carrollton, Georgia. The athletic complex is 80 acres with a new 32,000 sq. ft. gym, three Little League baseball fields, three softball fields, soccer fields, football field, BMX track, and walking trails. Carroll County Parks and Recreation is home to over 100 youth teams in all sports. Our department is responsible for creating countywide scheduling and rules for all sports. Also under the supervision of Carroll County Parks and Recreation is the 527-acre McIntosh Reserve Park located on the Chattahoochee River. The park contains campgrounds, hiking trails, horseback-riding trails, and pavilions. The department also holds property adjacent to the main complex which is the former Oak Mountain Academy Property. We also acquired Blackjack Mountain and property at Little Tallapoosa located off of HWY. 113. A passive park master plan is in the final stages to be used as a tool in developing these properties along with improvements to McIntosh Reserve.

The mission of the Carroll County Parks & Recreation Department is to provide diverse year-round leisure opportunities through the preservation of open space, park settings, recreational facilities and programs for the citizens of Carroll County.
