Meet Our Staff

  , CPRP, CYSA - Director
Ben Dillard has over 20 years of private and public sector business and recreation experience. He holds a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor's in Sport Management from the University of West Georgia and is a Certified Park and Recreational Professional (CPRP) and a Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA). Ben has owned and operated several businesses; and helped build and fund the newly expanded West Orange Girls Club facility in Winter Garden, Florida, operated the largest Pop Warner Organization in Central Florida and the Metro Orlando Girls Club, Willie Snead Youth Football, and helped establish BASE Camp Children's Cancer Foundation. After returning home to Georgia, Ben has worked for Carrollton and Carroll County Recreation Departments, Director of the City of Jefferson Recreation, West Georgia Sport Marketing, and assisted Carrollton, Jefferson and Central High Schools athletic programs.

Carroll County has already seen the impact with the creation of a new Gymnastics Program, Dizzy Dean Affiliation, AAU, YBOA & USA affiliated Programs, addition of Power Soccer and other teams for physically challenged youth and adults. Carroll County Recreation's future is immeasurable with plans to expand green space, staff growth, develop current parks, add programming and enhance policies and philosophy with the goal in mind to enhance the Leisure Services opportunities for everyone in Carroll County.

Vince is from Carrollton and has worked for Carroll County Parks and Recreation since 1998. He is responsible for all boys live arm baseball and 9 & 10 and 11 & 12 Boys Basketball. Vince also handles baseball and basketball summer camps and scorekeepers for baseball/softball and basketball.
 
 

Perry Huffstickler

Perry is from Carrollton, Georgia and was an athletic supervisor with the Carrollton Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department from 2002 until 2005. He came over to the Carroll County Parks and Recreation Department in July 2005. Perry is currently in charge of all tackle football, 4 year old Basketball, 5/6 Coed Basketball, 7/8 Basketball, 4 year old Blastball, 5/6 Coed T-Ball, 7/8 Boys Pitching Machine Baseball, and 13/14 Live Arm Baseball. , Director of Athletics. Andrell was born in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Camden County High School where he competed for three GHSA State Championships. Won team title as a junior, 4 X 100 state champion, ranked number 3 in southeast region as a senior. Andrell graduated from the University of Georgia where he was co-freshman of the year, 5 time All-Southeastern Conference, 4 time All-Eastern Regional, 2 times National Qualifier and ranks in the top 10 at UGA in 60m, 200m, 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m. He was an Olympic qualifier in 2004 in the 200m and ranked in the top 50 in the U.S. Andrell has also served as the inaugural Jefferson Recreation head track coach from 2006-2009 winning 9 state and 8 runner-up titles, Track, Football (DB’s) and Sprint Coach for Athens Academy from 2007-2009 with 7 region and 4 state finalist and 3 college scholarships given.

 
 

Lisa Barrett

Director of Fields & Grounds




Lisa has worked for the Carroll County Parks and Recreation Department since 1998. With experience in most field with the department, she is excited to be in charge of all girls sports and activities, including fast-pitch softball, basketball and cheerleading. Lisa has many interests, especially gardening with native plants and all other outdoor activities. She is a member of GRPA, Carroll County Master Gardeners, Georgia Native Plant Society, and Bluebirds over Georgia. She has her certificate from Leadership I thru GRPA, Arborist, Trail Construction and Maintenance, Georgia Pesticides License. , Administrative Assistant. Nicole Nowak graduated from Carrollton high school where she was an outstanding scholar athlete in cheerleading and softball. Nicole serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Director and handles accounts receivable, scheduling, appointments and assists with cheerleading.

 
 

Daryl Johnson

McIntosh Park Manager




Daryl Johnson has worked for the Carroll County Parks and Recreation Department at McIntosh Reserve Park since July of 1995. He was promoted to Park Manager in April of 1996. In October of 1999, Johnson graduated with high honors from Carroll Technical Institute with an AAT Technical Degree in Computer Information Systems. He later graduated Cum Laude from Mercer University in 2002 with a BAS in Organization Leadership. Daryl also holds a Level IA Certification with the Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commission, and is a Certified Crew Leader on trail design, construction and maintenance as taught by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Johnson is married to the former Betty Evans, a wardrobe assistant for the Atlanta based Theater of the Stars and Fox Theater. They have 2 children, Christopher and Joshua, and live outside of Whitesburg, GA in Carroll County.
 
 
, Projects Director. Randy Sims has been working for Carroll County for over twenty years and hold state certified public safety credentials. Randy is in charge of all construction projects at Carroll County Recreation.

 
 
, Gymnastics & Adaptive Sports. Jeri has a bachelor's degree in business management from West Georgia and has been teaching gymnastics in Carrollton since 1985. After selling Kids Kountry to be a stay at home mom, she has come out of retirement to coordinate the gymnastics/cheer and adaptive sports programs for the Carroll County Parks and Recreation. She hopes to make the new programs at the recreation dept. the best the state has to offer. Jeri is married to Bill Allen Jr. and has three great kids and believes she knows how parents want their children to be treated. Her goal is to teach all children to become the best they can be regardless of the obstacles they face. Classes are offered for ages walking thru adult. Whether you have a child who wants to improve flexibility and coordination or a competitive cheerleader or a gymnast who would like a college scholarship, we will have a class available for you.
